FPB Founding Member, Fred Scherz Sr. passed away at 11:30pm on November 14, 2009 after a brave battle with liver cancer. Fred was known for his larger than life personality and was always willing to help out someone in need. Fred will truly be missed.

On November 19, 2009, the Fred Scherz Sr. Memorial Reception was held at the Verona Fire Hall in Verona, NY. Musicians from as far away as Canada and Ohio took part in this special event.
